Terms
Updated October 2, 2026
These terms cover the frenlock app and frenlock.fun during the open beta. frenlock runs on Solana devnet, a test network, with test tokens that have no value. Using the app or the site means you agree to them.
Terms of use
- It's a test version. The app and the site can change, break or stop without notice, and so can Solana devnet. Don't rely on frenlock for anything of value.
- Test money only. Get test money sends made-up tokens with no value. Real SOL or tokens sent to a frenlock wallet can't be seen or moved in this version, and we can't get them back.
- A brake, not advice. frenlock doesn't trade for you and doesn't tell you what to buy or sell.
- Your wallet is yours. Privy creates and secures it when you sign in, and signing in again with the same email brings it back. frenlock never holds your private key. On Android you can sign in with a wallet app instead: it keeps its keys, signs each transaction in frenlock, and connecting it again brings your account back.
- Your vaults are yours. A vault's rule and guardians can't change once it's locked, and the program has no admin instruction: nobody, frenlock included, can move or freeze a vault. While the beta runs on devnet, frenlock can still upgrade the program to fix it. Before any real money, we plan to put that upgrade key behind a timelock or give it up.
- Friends hold the brake. A guardian can say yes early or let a hold run, and every hold ends by itself. Pick friends you trust to answer.
- Other services. Sign-in goes through Privy, notifications through Expo, Apple and Google, the iPhone beta through TestFlight and the Android app through GitHub. Their terms cover those parts.
- Play fair. Don't use frenlock to break the law or hurt anyone, and don't try to overload frenlock.fun or game the test money.
- No warranty. frenlock is provided as it is. As far as the law allows, we're not liable for any loss from using it, test tokens included.
- Changes. When these terms change, the date above changes too. Using frenlock after that means you accept the new terms.
License
- The app is free. Install it on your phones and use it.
- The code. frenlock's source code is licensed under the MIT License, below. It lets anyone who gets a copy use, copy, change and share it, as long as its copyright notice and the license go with it. The license covers the code, not the name frenlock, the lock mark or Fren.
- The program is public. The frenlock program on Solana devnet can be read on chain and called by anyone.
- Built on open source. The app and the site use open-source libraries, each under its own license; the site's fonts are Geist and Geist Mono, under the SIL Open Font License.
